A fantastic catch-all tray that instantly organizes your home, no matter where it's put, adding the perfect balance of rustic and classy to any surface.

Leave this boar leather valet tray by the door to hold your keys and wallet, in your closet to keep your watches, or on your desk to keep all manner of odds and ends.

We really like to give this as a housewarming gift: it's the kind of thing most guys haven't realized they need.

Heads up:  like most heavily waxed and dyed leathers, this leather may transfer dye when it's worn against lighter colored clothing. It's most likely to happen when it's hot and/or wet (we've mostly noticed it on sweaty t-shirts).

  • Source: Tanned and finished in Tennessee and processed in Wisconsin by Gallun Leathers
  • Hide Origin: Wild boar, full sides of US origin
  • Grain: Unique grain and extreme pore pattern

All our leather is made from the hides of invasive wild boar that were trapped or hunted in the south and southwest of the United States. These hides are processed in Wisconsin and combination tanned in Tennessee to produce a material that has the ideal balance of density and weather resistance.

We sell three colors of leather and they're made two different ways: Cognac and Black are the full grain "Jabari" version that retains the outer layer of the animal's skin, so it's smooth while also exhibiting the most scarring and character from the animal's life.

The Waxy Boar tannage we use for the Chocolate leather is a little softer to the touch because it’s been slightly buffed, exposing more skin fibers. Gallun Leathers uses sandpaper to remove a tiny part of the skin’s outer layer before rolling several layers of wax onto it.

In short: the Chocolate leather shows a bit less scarring and actually looks more textured and "worn in" when it's new.

All our leathers are equally durable — and yours will be 100% unique.

Testimonials

Love the quality — anything to help decrease the feral swine population. Only wish I could take one down myself!

Jeff Monte

The leather is unique, so I expect some good conversations to come from people asking.

William

It's a really cool story, how the pigs are taking over, and we're here to stop them and turn them into leather. It's just a really cool concept, and I love this leather.

Weston Kay, Rose Anvil

The leather is so unique, way more supple than I imagined. The colour and the waxy feel are amazing.

Paul Wales

The grain is insane. Just like the product photo. Definitely a jaw dropper.

David S

It seems like tough leather and yet has a glove-like softness. Color is wonderful, lots of depth with light highlights.

Karl D.

I expected the leather to be a little flimsy, but none of it was. The temper is good and surprisingly even; there's a waxy finish, the color is rich — how often do you see online photos that have been digitally enhanced only to be met by disappointment when opening the box? Not here.

Stephen O'Neil

The quality of the tanned leather is fantastic, much better than I ever imagined.
