This is a medium-width belt with a rounded buckle that we designed to be our more versatile option. It's easy to wear with nice trousers, but thanks to the rugged look of our wild boar leather, it's just as suitable for your favorite jeans.

SIZING: Add 2 inches to your usual pant size, eg. if the tag on your pants is 34, order a 36.

  • Leather source: Tanned and finished in Wisconsin by Gallun Leathers
  • Hide Origin: Wild boar, full sides of US origin
  • Weight: 8 oz.
  • Thickness: 3.2 millimeters

Note: This belt is a single piece of leather, sewn down on both sides, and finished with beeswax to limit fraying.

All our leather is made from the hides of invasive wild boar that were trapped or hunted in the south and southwest of the United States. These hides are combination tanned in Tennessee to produce a material that has the ideal balance of density and weather resistance.

We sell three colors of leather, and they're made two different ways: Cognac and Black are the full-grain "Jabari" version that retains the outer layer of the animal's skin, so it's smooth while also exhibiting the most scarring and character from the animal's life.

The Waxy Boar tannage we use for the Chocolate leather is a little more velvety to the touch because it’s been slightly buffed, exposing more skin fibers. Gallun Leathers uses sandpaper to remove a tiny part of the skin’s outer layer before rolling several layers of wax onto it.

In short, the Chocolate leather is softer, shows a bit less scarring, and actually looks more textured and "worn in" when it's new.

Quality, Guaranteed.

Wild Boar Leather

All of our products are made from the hides of invasive wild boar trapped in the Southwestern United States and tanned in Tennessee.

Destructive pests that cause some $2.5 billion of agricultural damage every year, the beasts are bad, but the leather is great: the hide’s unusually dense fiber structure and combination tannage make a tough product that's water resistant, full of character, and unlike anything you’ve owned before.

Testimonials

It's a really cool story, how the pigs are taking over, and we're here to stop them and turn them into leather. It's just a really cool concept, and I love this leather.

The leather is so unique, way more supple than I imagined. The colour and the waxy feel are amazing.

Paul Wales

The grain is insane. Just like the product photo. Definitely a jaw dropper.

David S

It seems like tough leather and yet has a glove-like softness. Color is wonderful, lots of depth with light highlights.

Karl D

I expected the leather to be a little flimsy, but none of it was. The temper is good and surprisingly even; there's a waxy finish, the color is rich — how often do you see online photos that have been digitally enhanced only to be met by disappointment when opening the box? Not here

Stephen O'Neil

The quality of the tanned leather is fantastic- much better than I ever imagined.

Brad Simpkins

The leather has a rugged appearance and the most supple, luxurious feel. This is a juxtaposition I was not expecting.

Eric R

The leather is unique, so I expect some good conversations to come from people asking.

William

"Love the quality — anything to help decrease the feral swine population. Only wish I could take one down myself!
